Hargrove’s North Alabama Division Brings Christmas Cheer to 5 Families in Need
Hargrove’s North Alabama Division had the pleasure of sponsoring two families this 2013 Christmas season through the Committee on Church Cooperation (CCC).
The CCC is a non-profit organization that has been assisting those in the Decatur, Ala. area for 40 years. Their mission is to build cooperative efforts among the churches of Morgan County to provide emergency and short-term assistance to persons in need, in the name of Jesus Christ.
The CCC relies solely on donations from the local community and its members to operate. The Hargrove family united to help make Christmas possible for two very special families in need.
The Decatur office chose to support two single-mother families. One sponsored family had two children, ages 9 and 11. The second sponsored family had three children, ages 8-months, 2 and 6.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Hargrove’s North Alabama Division Teammates, they raised over $1,243! Both families received Kroger grocery store and Wal-Mart gift cards allowing the sponsored families to buy everything on their wish lists and more!
“I love that our Teammates are always very eager to help their local community members and go above and beyond for those in need.” Phil Hamilton, PE - Senior Vice President, Central Region said. “It is a testament to the amazing Teammates we have at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors and their commitment to serve.”
The Hargrove Foundation graciously matched the North Alabama Division’s donations allowing the office to sponsor three more families. Overall, the sponsorship assisted five families with a total of 14 children.
The CCC expressed a huge thank you to all the Teammates who participated in providing an incredible Christmas for two families whom may otherwise have not received anything.
